Not Ashamed, originally released in 1992, is the breakthrough album from Australian Christian rock band Newsboys, making its first appearance on vinyl in this limited-edition 140 gram transparent magenta pressing from Girder Records. After three early projects struggled to find a mainstream audience, the band teamed up with singer-songwriter and producer Steve Taylor, who reshaped their identity and co-wrote the witty, direct lyrics with drummer Peter Furler, establishing the John James and Peter Furler dual-vocal sound that defined their 1990s era. The title track, “I'm Not Ashamed,” went to No. 1 on the CHR charts and became the band's first signature anthem, setting the stage for a career that has topped 10 million albums sold.
