Collected Vinyl LP (Clear, 2x180 Gram, Import)

Collected is a career-spanning collection from Richard and Karen Carpenter, pressed here as an import 2x180 gram Clear vinyl set by Music On Vinyl, limited to 7,500 individually numbered copies and including a four-page booklet with liner notes. The siblings' journey began in New Haven before taking shape in Southern California, and a homemade demo that reached Herb Alpert led to their 1969 signing with A&M Records. The set gathers hits like “(They Long to Be) Close to You,” “We've Only Just Begun,” “Superstar,” “Rainy Days and Mondays,” “Top of the World,” and “Yesterday Once More,” along with two solo tracks: Karen's “Still Crazy After All These Years” and Richard's “Karen's Theme,” which he dedicated to Karen after her passing in 1983. During their 14-year career, the Carpenters had three No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and their album and single sales total more than 100 million units.
