Southern Weather is the 2007 debut from The Almost, the rock project of Clearwater, Florida songwriter Aaron Gillespie, best known as the drummer for Underoath, available here on CD. Stepping out from behind the drum kit, Gillespie shows a more melodic side, playing nearly every instrument himself and teaming with Seattle-based producer Aaron Sprinkle, whose work with Pedro the Lion he admired. It was also a joint release between Tooth & Nail and Virgin Records.
